based on rule 112.7a and 601.2a it implies that the lightning bolt will resolve and deal the damage normally and I would therefore have won the game...
something like this had happened to me before but I didnt read the rules then and both of them said that once he conceded then its over and I cant do nothing and I couldnt argue because it was 2 against one but now I realize I shouldve won
dude you should drop this... like people have told you once the player conceded everything he has leaves the game...its over as far as his cards and spells are concerened...they go poof
then what about rule 112.7a
here it is agian for referance since it went to the other page
112.7a Once activated or triggered, an ability exists on the stack independently of its source.
Destruction or removal of the source after that time won’t affect the ability. Note that some
abilities cause a source to do something (for example, “Prodigal Sorcerer deals 1 damage to
target creature or player”) rather than the ability doing anything directly. In these cases, any
activated or triggered ability that references information about the source because the effect
needs to be divided checks that information when the ability is put onto the stack. Otherwise, it
will check that information when it resolves. In both instances, if the source is no longer in the
zone it’s expected to be in at that time, its last known information is used. The source can still
perform the action even though it no longer exists.
The rule void elemental quoted overrides it:
800.4a. When a player leaves the game, all objects (see rule 109) owned by that player leave the
game, all spells and abilities controlled by that player on the stack cease to exist, and any
change-of-control effects which give that player control of any objects end. Then, if there are
any objects still controlled by that player, those objects are exiled. This is not a state-based
action. It happens as soon as the player leaves the game. If the player who left the game had
priority at the time he or she left, priority passes to the next player in turn order who’s still in the
game.
well as I said there is a conflict between the two rules not sure why you say the other rule wins
OMG no wonder player B is more friends with player C then with you![]()
whats that supposed to mean![]()
dude it means this is only a game you taking it too seriously... as people have told you when he conceded then all stuff related to him is out of the game
well this kind of ^$%##$ has happened too many times for me I'm supposed to win and other player concedes last moment and always he waits until I've wasted mana and taken control of his turn and am about to win against other player
and still not sure why doesnt rule 112.7a apply
rule 112.7a is meant more for like when a creature is destroyed after the ability has been activated, or its been exiled, or its no longer in the same zone for any reason
but when a player conceded all his objects leave the game entirely - they dont go to another zone, they dont resolve, they dont nothing - everything related to him just ceases to exist
I was enjoying a quiet thanksgiving vacation until I read this there goes my relaxation![]()
think of a player leaving the game that he ceases to exist in the magic universe
then if so, how come damage he had caused me doesnt "cease to exist"?
and how come life gain he gave the other player also doesnt cease to exist and is reversed
or does it
OMG![]()
