if your asking "can you counter split second with Counterspell" than so. counterspell reads counter target spell split second is an ability. on top you cant even play counterspell when a card with split second is on the stack because thats what split second does.

split second in gereal can be countered. not by use of spells or abilitys however because of split second. so what options are left ??? just one Counterbalance. that is the only card in the game that can counter a spell with split second.
