Default magic the gathering extra arms rule

Can I cast Extra Arms on enemy creature? and will I still decide who target crerature is for damage when it attacks?

    Extra Arms 4R
    Enchant creature
Whenever enchanted creature attacks, it deals 2 damage to target creature or player.

not 100% certain but i would say no. you are the controler of the enchantment but the enchantment states that the creature deal the damage. thus the source of damage is the creature not the enchantment and hence the controle of the creature should be the one choosing targets.

Okay, I know this thread is kind of old, but if you haven't realised, I'm kind of a stickler for this sort of thing, and if I'd said nothing then this would be eating at me for months on end. Besides, the original asker is still around, so it's still relevant. Woo?

Anyways, even if the creature is the one that deals the damage, the enchantment is the source of the triggered ability that causes that to happen. Since you control the enchantment, you control the triggered ability, and thus you choose the target, regardless who who controls the creature it's on.
