a "Land" is a land, whether basic or non basic. So both basic lands and non basic lands are considered "Lands", and will indeed trigger the Landfall ability.

absolutely true basic is just a subtype of land. just the way an aura is an enchantment. also note landfall triggers on any land that enterts the battlefield under your control, not just the regular 1 you play. so a fetchland will trigger twice once for being played once for the land you fetch. harrow will trigger landfall twice since it puts 2 lands onto the battlefield under your control.
