does protection from creatures also protect from creatures abilities or only from creatures combat damage?
like what Commander Eesha has
does protection from creatures also protect from creatures abilities or only from creatures combat damage?
like what Commander Eesha has
protection from whatever means that whatever has protection cant be the target of stuff it has protection from and all damage dealt by sources it has protection from is reduced to 0, and creatures of that typ cant block your protection guy (in case of a creature).
so yes. commander esha cant take damage from creatures, be targeted from creature abilitys or be blocked by creatures. if a creature ability is global it will still effect esha. so for instance you still have to pay 1 mana during your upkeep for esha if someone plays a Magus of the Tabernacle
You are correct that it can't be targeted by spells or abilities of the protected type.so yes. commander esha cant take damage from creatures,
You are correct it can't be blocked by creatures of the protected type.
You had said correctly in the beginning it will reduce any damage done to it by the protected type to 0, but then further down you had the quote above so I just wanted to clarify that is can take damage from the source for example if they attack you and you block. They will damage you but then the damage is reduced to 0.
spot on ... me getting sloppy thx for pointing out because yes theres a diffrence sometimes a big one ^^.
