Default Plague Boiler and Stalking Stones

I've built a deck around these two cards using modular artifacts. The question I have though is will Plague Boiler send my Stalkign Stones to the graveyard with all the other permanants or will it be saved because it's a land and a creature (once I pay the ativation cost that is)? I think it will stay out and have all the modular +1 +1 counters moved to it, since it would be the only artifact creature in play. But if I'm wrong, then my whole deck is shot.

It should survive since plague boiler says "destroy all nonland permanents" and stalking stones says it become Elemental artifact creature that's still a land.

That's what I was thinking too. And it won't be stopped by enchantments like Imperial Mask, correct. The only thing I'd have to watch out for would be something that would counter my stalking stones once it became a creature, right?

I guess you have to watch for stuff that kills creatures like wrath of god or stuff that destroys lands like armageddon

I'd make sure the plague boiler ability plays on my turn so they couldn't use sorceries like Wrath of God or Armageddon. So it woud be things like terror, etc. But I'd keep a few counter spells handy. Just in case.
