No you can't sac a creature thats blocking, sacing would be used as an instant therefore if the player decided to block, then sac the original creature he was blocking would have full access to the other players HP.

You can, however be aware of recent rules changes.

Under the old rules, you could block, sacrifice your creature, and enjoy both the benefit of blocking and the ability.

So for example if you used Mogg Fanatic to block a llanowar elves, you could then sac the mogg fanatic (since its gonna die anyway) and you would still deal 1 combat damage to llanowar elf, plus you could deal an extra 1 dmg from your ability to either some other creature or to the other player.

Now they changed it though under M2010 new rules. You can still sac the blocking creature, but you wont deal the combat damage. you only deal the 1 dmg from the ability. However the opposing creature is still considered to be blocked so it wont deal any dmg to player (unless it has trample)

let me know if its not clear
