Default magic can you sacrifice an indestructible creature

Lets say I have Darksteel Colossus in play (INDESTRUCTIBLE creature)

Now lets say I have a Phyrexian Vault in play (I can sac a creature to draw a card)

Can I sacrifice my Darksteel Colossus or is that not legal because he's indestructibel?

Default Re: magic can you sacrifice an indestructible creature

Indestructible means, cannot be destroyed by damage, or spells or ability that have destroy in the effect. To sacrifice a creature doesn't mean it's destroyed, therefore, it goes to the GY. I.E. Cruel Edict makes you sac a creature, if Darksteel Colossus is in play and it's your only creature You must sac it.
