I was looking on ebay to buy some singles and I noticed some cards say "BGS" next to them and they are usually more expensive
What are BGS magic cards mean?

"BGS" means Beckett Grading Services.
This would say the card was evaluated by Beckett, sealed in a hard plastic case, and given a grade such as BGS-9 (out of 10)
See here:
Increase the Value and Protect Your Cards with BGS
Grading by such grading services usually raises the value of cards especially if grade is high
I have some rare cards should I submit them for grading
I would recommend only submitting really rare/valuable cards for grading, if you submit a $1 rare you'd be wasting your money
plus once you submit it for grading it is sealed in a plastic case so you wouldnt be able to use the card in your decks anymore.
But if you have really rare cards like power 9 or rare alpha/beta/unlimited, you should consider grading them so they increase in value a lot.
I should submit my 10th edition Forest for grading just for the heck of it
Yah I wonder what a BGS-10 Basic Land would be worth
