What's the best way to learn to play Magic: The Gathering

I would like to learn to play Magic: The Gathering. What is the best way to learn the game? What cards or sets should I buy? Do I need any other stuff like special dice or anything?

I think the best way to learn to play Magic: The Gathering is to have friends teach you (if you have friends who play MTG). Or you can check in your local comic book store if they run any events for newcomers.

Also, feel free to post here about any questions you have about MTG gameplay or MTG rules and you'll get help from others in the community. Magic The Gathering is a very fun game both to collect and to play.

As for what to buy, I would recommend starting with a Started Deck. It usually consists of a pre-constructed deck (one of the most fun things is to build your own deck, but you will learn to do that as you get more experience) and these starter sets usually also have rules booklets and quick start guides.
