Obliterate him
Counter him
Upheaval him
Meddling Mage'im
Cranial Extract'im
Wash him out
Humility Him

If all above fails, you can most definitely build a decent deck and ignore him.

doesnt exactly kill him but you can use ability of Karn Liberated to restart the game and you can get rid of the progenitus

why are yu people so worried about progy ?let see who plays prody in the first place:

- some legacy decks
- polygenitus in standard (and thats like 0.00001% of the decks played so basicly you can ignor that)
- casual

if you were a legacy player you would not need to talk about ways to get rid of progi because you'd know ...

so you afraid of progy in casual ???? why ?

that 10 mana, 2 of each color. even with ramp he usualy does not hit the table befor turn 7-8 (unless the whole rest of the deck is nothing but ramp).

just play a deck that can actualy kill befor turn 8-9 and your fine ??? seriously i dont see the problem .... if you only play deck that cast thier first creature or other spell on turn 6 then its your own fault and you deserve to get beaten arround by progenitus ... if someone plays natural order or oath etc. for a fast turn 2-3 progy just tell him to play something not that cheesy in casual ...

progy should never realy be a problem ...

You forget EDH. I've played a few progenitus decks and it's a BEAST of a general. Especially when they have Dragon arch and/or Quicksilver amulet to get it out by turn 5.

Also what are you talking about? Quicksilver Amulet and Dragon Arch do nothing for Progenitus in EDH, your Commander starts in the Command Zone, not your hand.
