Daze is a really good one - it'll break your opponent's proverbial back if played right. Plus it's a common and goes well with Landfall.

if you have the 50 euro (75$ i guess) for a mana drain then you get the best counterspell ever printed. sure force of will has a strong case going for it but overall i think mana drain wins.

daze realy is amazing! however not for every deck. all out control decks hardly ever run daze and for good reasons. in an agro control geck however where you have a generaly low mana curve daze will be at its best. when played allongside force of will you can play your agro plan and counter at the same time. that makes agro-control with blue both strong and flexable. to show you just how strong here are some legacy archetypes that use both:

grow (u/g)

grow (u/g/r)
grow (u/g/b)
counter sliver
fish (all variants)
meerfolk
stifle naught ( pretty much all variants)
faeries

etc.

the basic setup of 8 free counters + good agro stuff + some handshapeing (brainstorm / ponder) is pretty much dominating the second hardest format all over at the moment ... thats how good daze is but only in the right deck ^^
