The only monoblack card that can counter any spell is Dash Hopes (or perhaps Nether Void). There are also some black cards that are a little more picky about what they can counter.

I didn't - as I said, there are others that are more picky in what they can counter. The two I listed are the only ones that can counter anything, full stop.

It was more of a personal challenge to look up other mono-black counter-stuff. The only ones I could remember off the top of my head were the one's you named and Withering Boon. I knew there were several old ones but couldn't recall any names and thought perhaps some new ones had been printed.
