    Default question about permanents

If you have a card that reads "creatures power and toughness are equal to the total number of green permanents you control" does a forrest count as a green permanent?

    A land is a permanent

But a land is also colorless

so it would not be counted in this case.

Remember that a card's colour is determined by its mana cost. Since lands have no mana cost, they have no colour.

if it just said "creatures power and toughness are equal to the total number of permanents you control"

    without the green

    then it would be counted
