Who else thinks wizards killed venser?
Over the last month ive been noticing afew things that lead me to belevie venser doesnt live or not get phrexianized after or before new phrexia. Any positive feed back is more than welcome! Im not saying he will or will not!
Reasons for this.
1. Karn needs a spark!
2. Venser was last seen in the comicbooks in "ish sha"
3. If u read the scars of mirrodin guilde the center of the plane was coverted to a shark coverter for memnarch to get a spark.
4. Verner got no quotes on any of the 165 cards in new phrexia compared to all the others besides karn getting 2 or more.
5. Venser was metioned in a card but using past tense instead of present tense. Could mean nothing.
6. In the card remember the fallen espeth is holding a helm semilar in shape to vensers and looks pretty emotional. Maybe the helmet reminds her of venser.
7. Venser is not pictured on the fat pack for scars of mirrodin even though venser had never seperated form koth. So why wouldnt he be pictured unless its a foreshadowing of the furture.
8. Venser has been working on a phrexian ship before this and is the only thing the phrexian need to get off of new phrexia.
If another planeswalker is used to get a spark for karn.
9. In the guild it states that venser is destined to become a new breed of planeswalker. A phrexian planeswalker?
10. Theres that booster box pic that people think lookes like venser.
Theres a few more I cant remembet right now.
If anyones has read the book that came out like 3 days ago. I have not and know no one that has. This is all oppion. Please let the people who have not read it have theres.

SPOILER ALERT
Venser does indeed die. He teleports his own heart into Karn, thereby granting Karn a new planeswalker spark which lets him fight off the Phyrexian contagion and eventually free himself.
Re: Who else thinks wizards killed venser?
Cool. I atless im not crazy. do u think the phrexians will be able convert whats left of him?
Re: Who else thinks wizards killed venser?
No idea. I'm just a second-hand source.
Re: Who else thinks wizards killed venser?
Yeah, I've read the spoiler threads. The days of decent MtG books are, in all likelihood, gone. I like Karn, but that's bs.

I find this an interesting statement, because the general consensus seems to be that although this book is terrible, recent books are a lot higher quality than older ones. Having read only about two or three older ones and no recent ones, I'm not going to make a judgment.

IMO, The Brother's War through to Apocalypse was great (including The Thran and Rath and Storm). I've read all of those several times. The anthologies are generally decent, though one or two stories turn me off. Time Spiral block was passable. The Mirrodin novels were horrible and the Lor/Shadowmoor books had pacing issues and an unsatisfying ending. I have heard favorable reviews, but haven't yet read Onslaught, Kamigawa, and Ravnica books. I can't comment on the 1996 and prior books or the Legends books, but I would love to read them just out of curiosity.
Compressing a three set storyline into a single book was a mistake as far as I'm concerned. The reviews I've read for Alara Unbroken make me not want to even touch it. I actually intend to read Into the Teeth of Akoum within the next week, and I was looking forward to The Quest for Karn, but from the spoiler threads, it doesn't seem worth the effort. I have minimal interest in the 'Walker novels, as I don't really dig the "neowalkers", but clockworking apparently contradicts the time travel guidelines set down in Time Streams, which makes me even less interested.
I really do want the new books to be good, but Mirrodin for me was the point where things started going downward. Releasing only one book per block, and only after two sets of storyline is known really doesn't help.
