genearly milling is a bit like burn only that you dont have to do 20 damage but 53 with you opponent loosing 1 "life" per turn. thats about all one needs to now to evaluate what millcards are worth playing. burn want to do 3 damage with one card, if possible at 1 mana. that means that a card for milling should mill about 7-8 cards per 1-2 mana spent on it. as you can see tome scoure from m10 is about as good in mill as shock is in burn. not realy good. since millcard can not take care of troublesom creatures you might want to raise that number a little more. even glimps of the unthinkable is not awsome when you look at it like this. that is the reason milldeck have mande little apperance in tournaments.

for casual they are a viable stragtegy if you play one on one casual. even with 2 other players in the game your millspells are only half as effective. for multiplayer games you will want millcards that can be used over and over. also ones that mill everyone at once are desirable if you can handle the table hate. Dreamborn Muse and Mesmeric Orb are both good and work very well together.

one last note: gaea's blessing is your sworn enemy when you play mill so you will want some way to get arround that.
