Default magic the gathering remove graveyard from game relic of progenitus

I was looking at relic of progenitus it says:

T: Target player exiles a card from his or her graveyard.

1, Exile Relic of Progenitus: Exile all cards from all graveyards. Draw a card

Is exiles a card from his or her graveyard the same as remove a card in graveyard from game?

Is Exile all cards from all graveyards the same as remove all cards in all graveyards for game?

Also what is this card good for? Why would I want to remove cards in the graveyard from the game what do i care about cards in graveyard

you care about cards in the graveyard because of threshold, unearth, haunting echos, and other graveyard manipulation cards...

Yes, exile is the new keyword whic means "removed from the game".

i'll tell you why you care about graveyards.

here are my top 10 reasons to care about graveyards:

    1. ichorid - not the card but the deck. if you dont care about my grave i'll say thx and win on turn 1 or 2 every game without breaking a sweat. 2-0 for me in under 5 minutes. garanteed.

    2. goyf - 2 mana for a creature that is at least 4/5 is realy broken. you dont care about my grave ? thx in that case i'll grow a little bit more and beat you to death.

    3. breakfast - weather the chepalid break or the full english ... dont ask. if you never played one just trust me that you dont want to.

    4. nimble mongose - now a 3/3 shroud might not seem flashy but trust me that little guy has won more competative magic games than i care to count.

    5. entomb - i dont care what absured things you do with this card but seeing that it was banned in legacy and restricted in vintage should tell you that they can be realy silly (worldgourger dragon *cough* animate dead *cough* infinite mana then win *cough*)

    6. repelish - woohhh now that deck ruled it all in its time.

    7. reacuring nightmare - ruled it all until it was banned ... then they played living death and that still won a great deal.

    8. loam - ohh dear that should be up at spot 3 i guess but i simply did not think of ti fast enough so i'll stick it here. weather agro-loam, loam-control, 43-lands.deck you name it any deck that runs it will make you fear it rightly so its huge !

    9. incarnations - wonder, anger, genesis. they all have or had thier decks and they all were reaaaaly fearsom ...

    10. oversold cemetery / oath of ghouls - now this i love ! any creature i have, reusable as often as i want ... me realy like much ^^.

ok now i guess most of that list does not mean much to you so let me put it diffrently.

there are many cards that allow you to manipulate what is in your graveyard. below is a list of abilitys that either work in your graveyard or with you graveyard:

    flashback
    threshold
    dredge
    unearth
    retrace

on top of these there are many cards that have an effect in your graveyard or target your graveyard. you can reanimate creatures with some spells (put into play from grave) sometimes thats an akroma for as little as 1 black mana. since the first magic set there have been cards that work in or with your graveyard and as time goes by the options to do so just keep growing.

when you look at tournament decks, take a look not at the decks but at the sidebord. that the 15 cards you can exchange cards in your deck with after the first game. almost all tournament decks will have some kind of graveyard removal in the sideboard because you need it or else have no chance of winning against some decks.

haveing played lots of decks that make use of those seemingly useless cards in my graveyard i can assure you cards in a graveyard are not dead and gone if you play the right kind of deck and thats where you have to care about those cards.
