    crypt rats has

    X: Crypt Rats deals X damage to each creature and each player. Spend only black mana this way.

    so does it deal damage to itself as well?

    the the creature with pro black will take the X damage then reduce it to 0 and thus live.

    Shroud wont work since that ability doesnt target, it says "deals x damage to EACH creature..."
