    depends on the edition ... there are some very special boosters that will sell for something like 1500-2500$.

    Actual Worth, depends on the set and if that set is still being printed...

    Actual Sell Price from Wizards? (They actually only sell Cases and Palettes) about $1.97 a pack...

    Can you buy them for that much? NO... probably not.. you have to be a dealer with a direct line to WoTC, which means that you have to be a major seller of MTG cards.

    So why do most stores sell them for about $3.99+? Because of business costs and overhead. Also most smaller stores are buying from dealers that buy from WoTC, so they are actually buying the packs at about $2.50 - $3.00 a pack.... since the dealer has to make money too.

    That's also kind of a bulk deal since most of the purchases this way are purchases of cases (6 boxes of 36 boosters, which equals 216 boosters.)
