    The general rule is that a foil card is worth 150% what the regular version of the card is... (or x1.5)

    However, actual prices will vary by card.

    Also if it's a foil that comes in a preconstructed (Starter) deck, it's usually less than the 150%, and sometimes is actually worth less than a non-foil copy of the card.

    some foils also hit crazy prices. in general this will only apply to cards that are big in vintage and sometimes legacy. here is an example

    brainstorm ~ 1$ max ?

    brainstrom foil from marquadian masks 20$+

    dark ritual ~ 1$ max ?

    dark ritual foil from marqadian masks 35$+

    that is because these foils are not avalible in abundance and when you play vintage you have all the cards you could ever want so you want them to look thier best too. hence these players who tend to have a very good budget spend big on makeing thier decks extra nice ... if you pull a foil fetchland you can trade it in for about 3-4 fetchlands non-foild of the same type ...
