Default There is a Rule Book!

Please people before you post simple basic questions that you should learn in your first game of magic could we please put the effort into getting a rule book (they are free at your local game shop) and reading them before asking all the redundant questions.

I don't mean to sound like a jerk or anything it's just that some of these questions are rediculous.

Also, there is a search function and if you type a few keywords in then you will most likely not have to ask the questions that are simple to answer.

    Thanks and have fun playing.

Well, like Kappu said...all of these people's posts are really flooding this forum...the majority of them make me want to smack my head...it also never really occurred to me to buy a rule book at my local game shop (which to me is a good 1HR10MIN drive away )

seriously i have to agree with kappu1. whilst i understand that the rules can be quite daunting at first, note that no one is complaining that someone for instance does not know if a blocker taps or not. what the complaint is about is how some people handle the "filling of the knowlage gap". the constant repetition of the same questions over and over have cause me to compleatly loose interest in the rules and lern to play forums. since i am no longer a mod i also do not feel any obligations to care. thus is this the first time i actualy look into this forum in weeks ...

the forum has a search function. aparently not many people use it. i know its forum policy that asking questions that have been answered many times already is ok, so i wont say this has to stop (not any more anyway ^^). i will just let you consider that in just about every other well established magic forum such behaviour is not view well.

I find it funny that the same question about shroud, for example, can be asked so many times and in so many different ways. Like shroud is so complicated to understand.

Maybe they should make a sub-forum dedicated to shroud

and the shroud forum should have an additional subforum for people to discuss the subject of wrath of god against creatures with shroud

I think what irritated me the most was seeing 2 do blocking creatures tap within 3 posts of eachother.

I understand wanting to keep a forum active but I have seriously lost interest in the learning to play forum just because I can predict the first 3 questions normally.

Like I said rules books are free (fat packs now include them Alterloth since I know you buy those) and the search function keeps the forum poping with good questions that really are hard to understand from a ruiling standpoint.

Glad people ask questions but seriously I guess from my standpoint I was motivated (and still motivated) when I started playing and really looked and readup on the game prior to asking questions Seba can vouch for me on that.

Hell, you can find all sorts of rulebooks, from the basics of how to play to the entire comprehensive rulebook, the ultimate authority on Magic rules, for free online.
