    Black = Common/basic land.
    Silver = Uncommon.
    Gold = Rare.
    Copper = Mythic rare.
    Purple = Timeshifted (only in Time Spiral).

    Technically, tokens/rule tips cards have their own rarity, but they're not exactly hard to figure out.

    Also note that this system was only introduced in Exodus - everything before then had a black symbol, no matter what the rarity. There's no way to tell the rarity of those cards just by looking at them - you just have to know.
