No.

Specifically, it comes back in its default state - however it would be as though you had just cast it from your hand.

If the effect/spell that is exiling it says it returns then it will come back as Arix said. If nothing says to bring it back it just stay's exiled for the remainder of the game. There is nothing built in the rules to make and exiled object automatically return.

And just because I know someone will ask, if a token was exiled it can't come back since tokens cease to exist once they leave the battlefield (except to trigger effects of course).
