    does destroy all go thru protection in magic?

    yes because "destroy all" means a card isnt targetting

    if a card says "destroy target creature" then it means its targetting and protection would defend against it

    so like a wrath of god can destroy creature with protection from white

    no targeting is just part of the game why should protection not use it also ???

    if you think that it does not make any sense you can either accept it, complain with wizards that thier rules are wrong or quit playing magic .... thats about all the options you have.
