You get disqualified for savage cheatery. You can only ever attack an opponent.

unless silver borderd cards are involved. silver borderd cards do some very strange things indeed that sometimes contrdict the rules. that's why silver borderd card are illigal in all tournaments and even in casual it is good manners to ask befor playing if all who play are ok with it.
Yeah, but anything can happen in Silver Bordered Land. It'd take forever to exhaustively answer every question about them.

But you can use spells against yourself my favorite is when you use Path to Exile on your own creature to pump them up even more when playing landfall type deck!
there is a planeswalker by the name of sorin markov, who has the ability to allow you to take control of the opponents next turn. so in a scenario where I used sorin markov to take control of the opponents next turn (this uses 7 loyalty counters by the way) and i use his own creatures to attack him, how can that be considered savage cheatery though maybe technically he is attacking himself with his own creatures, i was in control of his turn?
No, that's still savage cheatery. Using Sorin markov or Mindslaver to control an opponent's turn means you make all decisions for that player - but you still can't make them do anything they couldn't normally do. Since they can't attack themselves, you can't make them attack themselves.

would this include burn spells such as shock?
No, that's fine. Shock just says "target creature or player", and there's nothing stopping them from targeting themselves.
