    does regeneration remove the creatures damage in magic?

    The way I understand it is if your creature is hit for xxx damage and it would die you can pay xxx cost to regenerate it dosn't matter what kind of damage hit it unless the spell says something about can't regenerate or exile card or move card to graveyard ect.

    This is just coming from a new player so if I need corrected please do so.

    @ kappu1: that is all correct. one part could be a little missleading however. the use of xxx twice where they are not the same.

    to answer the original question:

    when you regenerat a creature (when a creatures regeneration shild is used to be precice) the creature will no longe have any damage on it.
