Curious to know this as well, but what kind of senario are we talking about?

If you have a creature like Aerie Ouphes and it has a sacrifice ability if it has been declared an attacker at the time can you sacrifice it for its ability still?

If your have decalred attackers can you sacrifice a card like Ior Ruin Expedition while in the combat phase?

gernealy speaking you can use a sacrifice effect at any time when you have priority. there are several times when you get priority during the combat phase.

more or less (to keep it simple) the only time you can not sacrifice during combat is when creatures are dealing damage. you can sacrifice befor or after. this was changed in Magic 2010. befor than damage used a stack like spells and you could let the creatures deal damge and then do something befor that damge resolved (actualy dealt). also it was also dealt if the creature that put it on the stack was no longer there. this is no longer the case. now its either deal damage or sacrifice not both.
