can you attack a shroud creature in magic?
can you attack a shroud creature in magic?
normaly you dont attack creatures but players in magic unless a specific effect tells you otherwise. so the answer would be no but not because of shroud this applies to any creature. this is one of the big diffrences to yu-gi-oh for instance.
can u attack a shrouded player then
yes. attacking does not target and shroud only means that whatever has shroud can not be targeted (... by spells or abilitys)
1) Technically you attack a player or his/her Planeswalker. You don't directly attack a creature. You declare who you are attacking during your attack phase and then your opponent decides if he/she wants to block with a creature(s) or cast a spell.
2) Both players and creatures can have Shroud. A player or permanent with shroud cannot be the target of spells or abilities (even his or her own). The most important work here is "target."
3) If the player or creature has Shroud as a result of something like Whispersilk Cloak then you can destroy it with a card like Demolish. If Shroud is an ability of the creature you're looking to remove, then you need some kind of global removal like Wrath of God that doesn't explicitly target a single creature but simply says, " Destroy all creatures. They can't be regenerated." Since the creatures aren't a "target" of the spell Shroud does not protect them from Wrath of God.
