confused about Cabal Interrogator magic how many choices do I have

Do I choose one of the following:
deal 1 damage to creature
gain 1 life
creature gain first strike
tap creature

or is the deal 1 damage and get 1 life part of the same ability so my options are:
deal 1 dmg to creature AND IN ADDITION raise 1 life
creature gains 1st strike
tap creature
