    Default if a card is colorless, can it be targetted as an artifact? magic

    can spells that target artifacts target colorless cards?

    colorless is the cards color (or to be more precise, a card's lack of color since "colorless" itself is not considered a color)

    "artifact" is the card type (for example enchantment, creature,instant, sorcery, artifact etc)

    while most artifacts are colorless, being colorless doesnt mean necessarily that its an artifact. There are even artifacts that are colored

    for example:
    Darkslick Shores - This is a land and thus colorless (almost all lands are colorless). So cant be targetted by a card that targets an artifact

    Reaper King - this is an artifact but its a colored artifact. Can be targetted by cards that target artifacts, but not by cards that target colorless
