can you regenerate creature that dies from -1/-1 in magic?

Oh it's possible to regenerate them, unfortunately they just immediately die again. Killing something with -1/-1 is fairly vicious and a good way to remove a good number of regenerators. The only real counter to it is to have something that boost the creature's attack and defense long enough and quickly enough.
