    an number of times as long as you can pay the activation cost. some activations costs such as sacrificing can only be paied once. otheres such as pay x mana or pay x life can be paied any numer of times as long as you have mana / life to spend. tapping is also an activation cost. usualy you can only pay that cost once because then that card will be tapped. if you can with some effect untap that card, then you can used that ability again.
