gonna play magic what cards should i get

Hi,

I play a lot of pokemon but my friend showed me magic the gathering game and it seems cool so am gonna try some of that too, what cards should I get?

The core set is the best palce to start, as it comes with all the basics. The most recent is Magic 2011. Your best bet is to pick up an intro pack or two - they come with a ready-built deck and a booster pack, along with a basic rules guide. Once you're comfortable with that, you can get some booster packs and look into some proper expansions - Scars of Mirrodin is released in about two weeks.
