I think it is too early in his presidentship to award him the prize. I mean he hasn't really achieved anything as of yet, he hasn't had time to.

I agree with Sean, they are giving this Noble Prize as if it were some sort of cash advance.

And what if he does not bring peace? Are they going to take it away?

They shouldve awarded it to him AFTER enough time has passed to really measure the efforts he is doing to bring peace.

I think he deserves it, Obama has shown true passion for peace plus this prize will propel the peace process forward. I voted yes.

    I voted no.

I also have a "vision of and work for a world without nuclear weapons". Why didn't I get the Nobel Peace Prize?

He might deserve it, might not. The problem is that it is too early to tell. Isn't the nobel peace prize supposed to be given for what you have done, not what you MIGHT do?

Maybe he just ought to refuse the prize. Now people are going to hate him for getting it. And it wasn't even his fault (the committee decided on it he didnt push for the nobel prize)

I agree completely, he is making efforts to fix things but nothing is finished yet. I am grateful that because of his Stimulus Bill, I can go to school. But I do not feel he should have been awarded a Nobel for being different. I think change is good thing and that we have been in desperate need of it for years. If Obama is to be able to effectively put his plans into motion its going to take more than one term. But at least he is trying and for that we should all be grateful.

    I voted yes.

The Nobel Peace Prize will make him work harder to live up to the prize, so he will be doing more efforts to bring world peace and other nations will be more cooperative now.
