Chess piece set designed by Herman Ohme, c. 1960. This is the deluxe WOOD version complete in its original box with the original board and original instruction booklet! One of the few cool VINTAGE Mid Century Modern chess piece sets, it features a really cool sleek modernist design.
The individual pieces are crafted from solid maple, one half being natural and the other ebonized.
The pieces range from 1.25” to 2.75” in height. The original cardboard chess board is about 14.5"
