You are looking at a 1918 Gillette U.S. Army Khaki Razor Set. Included are the razor, blade

holder and Canvas Case. The razor and blade case are in EXCELLENT condition. The finish is clean.

THERE IS NO STRESS CRACKING TO THE HANDLE. The canvas case is in excellent condition. There are

no tears or stains, really nice. The snap closure is in tact and functions. SERIEL NUMBER F902407.



It was made for WWI, and was sold to the US government. The underside of the bottom blade plate

reads "PROPERTY OF U.S. ARMY". The canvas case and the razor were marked Property U.S. Army. 1918

E449208-J7344, Plus F/G/H (no I) J Series, all U.S. military Models 102, 3.5 million razors

produced for US forces in WWI. 35 million blades produced for US forces in WWI. I have a Khaki

Set identical to this and it shaves wonderful. My everday Gillette is an Old Style just a few

years newer than this one. Best shave on the planet.



There were at least two Gillette Khaki sets made/sold to the U.S. Government from 1918-1920.

There was a Gillette Military set that was a khaki-covered hard case that snapped. It was

basically a Traveller set (razor, two blade holders, a soap tube, and a brush tube) covered in

khaki.



The Gillette Service Sets (in the metal cases) were sold through retailers (at least through

Sears, Roebuck) and were also from around 1918 but DID NOT read "PROPERTY OF U.S. ARMY". There are

at least three versions of this for the U.S. and one Canadian version. There's also one

lithographed tinS for the U.S. This is a military set. It says: "PROPERTY OF U.S. ARMY" on the

bottom blade plate. Please be sure to look at the pictures as they are part of the description.
