    You cannot.

    A common misunderstanding, no offense.

Your Hard Drive is Storage (think semi permanent)

Your RAM is Memory (think temporary).

As for replacing the Hard Drive, its fairly straight forward, consider first is your Laptop still under Warranty? Because removal of the plates to replace the drive will break the seal and Void your warranty.

After replacing your internal hard drive you will need to either install an Image of your old HDD or reinstall Windows.

There are alternatives, you can purchase and external HDD that connects via USB, Thumb Drives are getting fairly large in capacity as well as SD Cards (for your phone and camera).

Also laptops (the big ones not Notebooks) have PCMCIA slots on the side and depending on your Laptop Model, you may have one that will support or fit another Hard Drive in it.

If you want to proceed with replacing the internal drive, check your warranty and then PM me and I'll walk you through it.
