setting default browser in outlook

How do I set the default browser in outlook?

Not sure what you mean.

Outlook and other email clients do not use a Web Browser for Email or News Group Feeds. They use POP3,IMAP4 or SMTP.

When I click on a link in the email in outlook, it opens in Internet Explorer. I would like to have it open in Firefox by default.

Ok we just have to change your default browser, once that is done everything will use Firefox instead of IE.

Open up FireFox and click on "Tools" then "Options" then "Advanced"
At the bottom look for "System Defaults" and put a check next to
"Always Check to see if FireFox is the default browser on Startup." Then click
"Check Now" and OK etc.

Launch Internet Explorer you should see a message stating that your Default Browser has been changed. Instruct it to keep firefox and that should take care of it.
