Havent tried twitter much yet really,

but i spend a lot of time on myspace and facebook

If you just create a Twitter account around your "person" - nobody knows you and if you don't provide people with a specific image who you are or what your hobby is, then it is of course "useless", because others on Twitter are "clueless" about you.
