As you have to start the C128 in C64 mode to play those games, there's no difference. There are only a handful games especialy madefor the C128, I suppose.

so if a game says that its forthe C64/C128, does it play on C128 normally or do you have to go to C64 mode?

They will only work in C64 mode.
If you are interested in C128 software, you might want to take a look at this site: Commodore 128 Alive! There are some games as well.

Not sure though why they have to put C64/C128 if all C64 games work on C128 anyway. Or are there any C64 games that dont work on C128 even in C64 mode?

Am guessing all C64 games run on C128 in C64 mode, but am not sure 100%.

As for why they put C64/C128 on games, they want to make it clear that the games can be played on both commodores so people will buy the games no matter which commodore they owned
