K, heres mine
You are a dude with a cape, you run around the city collecting tin cans to convert them into pure gold. Problem is, your rival is trying to take the machine from you all the time.
Can anybody figure it out?
Whats the name of the game where 2 planes would fight against each other (so like 2 players) and the screen was divided into two parts top for first player and bottom for second player and I think view was from the cockpit
Anyone know about that game with repairing the computer? I'm curious
I've managed to find the game. It seems as though I may have been a bit misleading. I thought is was the SID and VIC chip but it was just called the sound and graphics chips. Sorry for any confusion, it was a long time ago (well that's my excuse). The game is called D-BUG.
There was an RPG I played you could choose many classes one was a wizard but you could choose from unique races that you dont normally get in other RPGs, like a minotaur. Anyone know the game? I'll post more details if I can remember more...
Whats the game where you rode a bike and had to jump over logs?
whats the game with the caveman that jumps on turtle to cross water
I've been tearing my hair out for ages trying to remember this game, and stumbled upon this awesome identification thread that appears to still be active, so I thought I would try my luck. Please help me identify this game! You'll put to rest at least a couple years worth of attempting to find it.
Things about the game:
Before each level, you were presented with a screen of a Hollywood-style scene indicator with the hinged top that they snap shut and say "ACTION!". I think the scene indicator showed the name of the level and how many lives you had left, etc.
The game was set in a desert environment (at least the first part of the game is, I never completed the game) and each level would have you standing next to some sort of fiendish device designed to trap and kill the approaching man (if memory serves, this man's sprite was entirely black like a silhouette).
For example, you would be standing next to a boulder, with a trampoline on the ground, and you had to push the boulder at the right time for it to fall down, hit the trampoline, and bounce on the area where the black figure is walking. There was a large variety of ways to defeat the man, I remember boomerangs and cannons being featured in the works too, but each level only had one trap setup and you only had one attempt per level to get it right.
For some reason, I originally thought the game was called Hangman, even though it does NOT feature a single trace of traditional Hangman mechanics. It was purely a timing-based trap action game. Searching for Hangman, however, produces predictable results: the word-guessing game. It may be that in my old age I've forgotten what it was really called or somehow distorted the title. Or perhaps, because we kept our copy on a disc that had more than one game in it, it may have been mislabelled or not mentioned on the label at all.
PLEASE help!
Maybe Cliff Hanger?
That's it! That's totally it! You, sir, are a champion. I am forever in your debt.
Perhaps you could help me with another one, then!
It was an RPG (or at least an adventure game presented in the top-down fashion typical of early RPGs) and your life bar was represented by a burning candle on the side of the screen that gets smaller as you get hit.
I think the game was set at night, or started at night.
I seem to remember one of the weapons you can acquire being throwing axes, or an axe of some kind. I'm really struggling to think of more information on the game but the candle thing should hopefully make it stand out enough for anyone who's played it to single it out.
Well, I'll try
Could be Times of Lore.
You're damn good, would have taken me ages to hunt down a screenshot with a candle. I seem to remember the graphics being darker and a little better, perhaps I played a sequel or maybe my memory is just failing. I also seem to remember the candle being on the other side of the screen. I'd say that the game you linked is the one though, there can't be too many other games that fit that description. :P
Thank you so much. SO MUCH!
You're welcome.
Sorry about the late post, but I believe the game you're thinking of was called Dogfight. My father and I used to play it.
[EDIT] My bad, I didn't read the whole post and missed the extremely crucial information about the cockpit view. Dogfight was a top-down game where the planes could leave the side of the screen and appear on the other side, like with Asteroids. Sorry to waste a post. >_>
