    Default Memory Conflict

Hello, I have been writing a dungeon disk "reader" of sorts for the game called "The Bard's Tale".

What I have been doing is copying the BASIC character set into memory starting at location 12288 then redefining the copied characters to simulate the dungeon layout (a la walls, doors, secret doors).

Now, this information is stored in a series of POKEs. But what's happening is that I'm getting ?OUT OF MEMORY errors now and I haven't finished rendering the possible door/wall/secret door combinations yet.

My .D64 disk image is here (8BBK)

    The relevent program is "DUNGEONREADER.PRG".

Does anyone know whether I can move BASIC around or do I need to relocate my character set, or what?

    Thanks.
