antique_yemen_silver_globe_bead_with_silver_dangles_and_loop_bail__ac2376cf.jpg

Large Yemen silver bead made in the beginning of the twentieth century. It is a bead usually created as the bridal dowry and wedding jewelry. The silversmiths at that time in Yemen were Jewish and they left Yemen in the 1940s when Israel was declared a nation. Since that time such beads have not been made in Yemen. These beads are rare and highly valued by collectors. Collected in Yemen about ten years ago.

Measurements:
Bead dimensions - 28 mm diameter (1.1 inch) x 31 mm (1.2 inch)
Pendant length including bail and dangles - 2.4 inches ( 6 cm)
