Grandpas treasures or junk?

Hi,
When my grandparents passed away I found a ring of his. The jwel is missing but I am wondering if the shape means anything to anyone. He was in the military so maybe that? It almost looks like a sheild. Also, on the back is engraved "E" does anyone know of a ring maker that uses that mark?

Additionally I found what looks like vintage cufflinks. They are made by Price Robale. Does anyone know about this company? The history of it? When it looks like these were made? the era? The value?

Any history, value, age anything on these items would be really nice thanks!
