    i have a 2600 jr and saw on the price guide a 2600 jr is rarer than the original 2600 yet it is worth less. that seems kind of weird to me, anyone else?!

    Probably because more people want to buy the Original version even though the Junior version is a bit more rare. The casual old school atari player will go with the original one he knows best.

    Yes, the original models of any system hold their value because more people have a nostalgia for it.
