Default Pacific Pinball Expo 2009 pics coverage Hercules: The World's Largest Pinball Machine

RarityGuide.com Staff attended the Pacific Pinball Expo this weekend in San Rafael, California.

Was a great exposition, nearly 400 pinball machines, from antique to modern, all set on free to play!

This was also a learning experience on the history of pinball machines. Many histrocally signifcant machines were there, such as a 1947 Humpty Dumpty by Gottlieb which was the 1st pinball machine to feature flippers!

In addition, all proceeds went to the Pacific Pinball Museum, a 501 c 3 non-profit dedicated to the promotion and preservation of one of America’s great pastimes.

If you missed it this year, make sure not to miss it on 2010!

More information can be found here:

A writeup on this event is in the works.

Shown here is a Hercules Pinball Machine by Atari from 1979. This is considered to be the world's largest pinball game! Measures 93 inches X 39 inches X 83 inches. 18 Square Ft of playing area!

The Hercules Pinball machine was an extremely popular machine throughout the show. There was always a line to play it, and lots of spectators
