Kevin is a powerful character, 2 strikes in a row. At night, he only gets stronger, transforming into a beast, and he can still use magic, if he has it, the form depending on Kevin's class. Just take Kevin, as basic, and double attack and vitality.
Kevin has the most power attacks of any one, almost double. Once through your first class change, he gets throws, which he uses randomly, but adds to the total number attacks he does.

SD 3 Manual:
"Kevin is a beastman, half man, and half beast. Born in the Kingdom of Beasts, his father the king was a beast, his mother human. Because of this, he is an outcast among his kind, and only has a wolf pup, Karl, as a friend. Even his father looks down on him...as he wanted his son to be a warrior. Although Kevin does know martial arts, he hardly uses them, as he hates to fight, but will when he has to."

The Light

Monk - Werewolf

Tech: Whirlwind Kick (all), Tornado Throw

"The Monk is a martial artist who emphasizes mental training. He can cast a healing spell and enhance his strength as a beastman."

This path leads Kevin more to his human side. Learning Heal Light and his own skill, Pressure Point. Pressure Point lets Kevin gain his beastman stats any time, for 1 MP as well. Not his first class, but it does allow for an okay healer and fighter.

Warrior Monk - Silver Wolf

Requires: Silver Wolf Soul

Tech:Genbu 100-Kick, Blow Impact

"The Warrior Monk uses his mental power to draw out his inner strength. He can cast a healing spell and a spell which makes his fists steal MP from enemies."

The Light/Dark combination for Kevin. Not a bad form, getting to multi-target Heal Light, along with getting Leaf Saber, giving someone basically unlimited MP, although not a very intense magic user, excellent for aiding those in your party who are. Still having good power, it does take a lot in the longer battles to maintain health. His techs are okay, no full screen, but what he can make up for it for he is now an effective healer for the party, and an excellent aid to magic intense parties. A nice subscreen pose too.

Godhand - Golden Wolf

Requires: Gold Wolf Soul

Tech: Byakko Shockwave (all), Stardust Bomb

"The God Hand is an ultimate martial artist who has a great heart, technique, and body. Holy power is rumored to reside in his fists. He can cast a healing spell and a special magic spell called Aura Wave."

Kevin, light/light. Gains spell Aura Wave, which fills the tech bar instantly. Can't multi target Heal Light though, although it is powered up. Has a full screen tech, which Warrior Monk doesn't. Still, it's hard to go wrong here. With this combination of healing and attack it helps the party greatly, especially if one has Angela, Duran, and others who only hit once. If you like a fighter who can work as an emergancy healer, you're set with this guy.

THE DARK SIDE

Baskar - Black Fang

Techs: Water Moon Slice , Bastard Slam

"Unlike the Monk, the Bashkar only searched for strength. He doesn't use spells, but his offensive power is much higher than the Monk's."

Kevin, gone to the Dark Side. This path takes more to his Beastman heritage, focusing more on PHYSICAL power, night becomes your very best friend. He gains no spells in this class, the only one that he doesn't get any. This is an intermediate stage, but for it, you get access two POWERFUL classes.

Death Hand - Wolf Devil

Requires: Death Wolf Soul

Techs:Seiryuu Death Fist, Dead Crush

"The Death Hand has sold his heart to evil to obtain greater power. His offensive power is extremely high, while his defense protects him against heavy attacks."

If you were looking for power, you can't get any better than this. Having only Energy Ball, increasing critical hit rate. Being Kevin's strongest class only helps it. Durable and true to the description of this class, he is out there to aid one in beating opponents into tiny little pieces. For those who like physical teams/characters, you can't complain about this class at all. It does make him dependant on his team-mates/items for healing, but it is a price worth paying for someone like this on your team.

Delvish - Bloody Wolf

Requires: Demon Wolf Soul

Techs: Suzaku Sky Dance (all), Varitubach

"The Delvish has concealed his feelings and trained further than the Bashkar. He can cast magic which makes his fists steal HP from enemies."

Delvish, Dark/Dark side of Kevin. Getting the Moon Saber, in combination with his stats and his double hit, it makes it very easy for him to regain lost HP and to help keep his HP high. Around the time you do get this, it does help greatly, for those who go at the quest with a vengence, not always wanting to go into town to rest and restock on items. This class makes the best of Kevin's skills and his attacks.

Summary of intro:
It all begins with Death Jester approaching the Beast King, telling him that his chance to strike back at the humans is at hand, and that he is placing his Dark Magic at the king's disposal before the guards saw to him. The King becoming intriged. It then switches to Kevin and Karl, who are napping in the forest. Telling that Kevin is half human and half beastman, having a human mother, who ran away when he was very young. Inspite of his training from the Beast King himself, Kevin is a pacificist. Karl is a wolf pup that Kevin found who had lost had also lost his mother. He reflects to Karl and the two head for home. Heading west through the forest, then north when they could go west no more. Just before reaching the door to the castle, Karl gets strange, attacking Kevin. Kevin falls before the changed Karl, only then to have his beastman blood surface, and he transforms, then beats Karl. He mourns for what he has done to his friend, finding the power that was held in his blood, but at a high price. He returns to the beastmen, having no where else to turn.
Heading out onto the terrence before the stairs to the throne room, looking out into the Moonlight forest, then heading through the left head door. There he found lines of Beastmen assembled, that the head, Lugar. Lugar telling them that they were starting war with the humans, the first target, The Holy City Wendel.
Kevin walks up to Lugar, talking to him, Lugar takes pride in being chosen over Kevin to lead the assault, from Jad to Wendel.
Kevin returns to the terrence and heads to the throne room, the guard telling him that the Beast King is talking to "some Forgein-looking guy". He heads down to the stairs, at the bottom he hears voices.
The Beast King is impressed with what Death Jester has done with the wolf pup, making Kevin a true Werewolf, he dismisses Death Jester and leaves. The Jester chases after him. Needless to say, Kevin is ROYALLY angry to overhear this. He breaks down a wall, and attempts to attack his father, only to be sent flying by him. The Beast King then tells Death Jester to go take care of Kevin.
Kevin wakes up at Karl's grove, at the foot of a Golden Goddess statue, hurting all over. Praying to the Statue heals him, and then he heads into the forest again, this time away from the castle, heading north instead of west from the statue. He finds Death Jester, who tells him that he went after Kevin to tell him how to REVIVE Karl, to head for the Holy City Of Wendel, that the Priest there knows how to do just that. Kevin accuses him of lying, Death Jester counters by telling him to hurry "before the Priest finds himself in a jam". Kevin ask how to reach Wendel, and Jester opens a passage to Mintos, telling him to first go to Mintos then head along the coast until he reaches Wendel. Fighting of wolves, he finds the path to Mintos, then, heads for Jad and Wendel, to revive Karl, and just as he leaves, a thought about his mother as to why she left.
