Pokemon Black White Walkthrough Part 17 – Nimbasa City

Welcome to Nimbasa City. No rest for you though. Once inside the city you have some work to do. An old man, who runs the Day Care, is under attack from Team Plasma. He will run over to you and ask for your help. The Grunts instead, predictably, go after you now. The first has a Watchdog lvl. 18 and a Trubbish lvl. 18. The second Grunt won't challenge you, instead state plainly that they are hiding in the amusement park that is in-town. The Day-Care Man will reward your help with a Bicycle. This a helpful gift that lets you get around faster. It is worth it to hot key it for those long periods of travel.

Now though, instead of exploring the city, you run into Bianca who announces her intent to visit the Pokemon Musical. Take a moment to visit the nearby building, the Battle Subway. Just for attempting to enter you will receive the Vs. Recorder. Go more to the left now and visit the Pokemon Center. Patch up any hurt Pokemon then it is off to exploring the city some more. Head north from the Center then enter the house on the left. Talk with the blue-haired boy and he will give you HM 04, Strength. This is a very useful move when dealing with caves and almost always vital later in the game.

Time to head to the top part of town and explore what is up there. On the far right, you will find Bianca and the Musical Theater. Talk to her to get in. Shortly after, you will be greeted by the owner of the pl;ace and be given a Prop Box, letting you store accessories for your Pokemon. You will get a brief tutorial walking you through the process, so you have some idea of what to do. After that, Bianca will decide to wander the city, leaving you free to leave yourself or play around in the theater. There is a little something that happens after, but its best left to itself without any explicit mention.

Before going on, head into the gate for Route 16. There will be a baseball player near the bulletin board. Talk with him to receive a Macho Brace. This handy item increases the ease with which you can train Pokemon.

Next to the Musical Theater is the Big Stadium. Here people play various sports depending on the day and there are a good number of trainers around as well. You can battle them all each day and they will increase in level as you collect Gym Badges or beat the game.

The last stop here is the Small Court. Again, there are a number of trainers to battle here and they will grow stronger as you collect badges. However, in both cases, when a match or game is going on, you cannot battle the trainers around there.

Head over to the left, going down across the bridge below the Musical Theater and then head left through the archway with the flashing lights. This leads to the carnival and another encounter with the Mysterious N. He will reveal his connection to Team Plasma, that he is the king, working with Ghetsis. After the talk, it is time to fight.

N Battle:
Sandile lvl. 22 – Embargo, Sand Tomb, Assurance, Mud-Slap
Darumaka lvl. 22 – Headbutt, Uproar, Facade, Fire Punch
Sigilyph lvl. 22 – Whirlwind, Psybeam, Tailwind, Air Cutter
Scraggy lvl. 22 – Swagger, Faint Attack, Brick Break, Headbutt

Water and Fighting will do much against his team. Throw in some fighting to deal with the Scraggy on his team.

After the battle, N will tell you the best, and perhaps only, way to stop him is to challenge him when he is Pokemon League Champion. That means you need to collect all 8 badges and defeat the Elite Four. Sounds like a fun challenge! Now, head to the left and go into the next build after you heal your team, it is time to challenge the Gym.
