Pokemon Black White Part 15 – Castelia City Gym Challenge

Head on into the Gym. You will find your Guide waiting for you just inside. He will give you a Fresh Water again. Get ready to deal with the Honeycombed Gym. There are walls you can actually walk through. If you cannot find which way to go, switches will come to your aid and clear the way.

Walk through the yellow wall in front of you and head to the right. You will find the first trainer in the Gym, Harlequin Jack. He fights you using Sewaddle lvl. 20 and Venipede lvl. 20. After you beat him, talk to him to learn that stepping on the two switches will light up a torch and open up a passage. Step on the switches and two gates will open. One is further in the Gym while one is right next to you. Run through in the center of the wall closest to you. When you get through the wall you hit a switch and cause Harlequin Kerry to appear and take you on. He has a Sewaddle lvl. 20 and Dwebble lvl. 20. Head over to the right and hit the switch on the floor, then head to the left and step on the other two. Go back to the right and through the wall. After that, head back to the left and through the lower Honey Wall. Step on the switch in this are to take on the next trainer, Harlequin Rick. He sends out a Sewaddle lvl. 21. Head up through the wall to reach the next area and step on the switch in the center of the honey comb. Head back and upwards through the two Honey Walls. After you pass through the second wall, you will find Harlequin Louis with his Venipede lvl. 20 and Sewaddle lvl. 20. Beat him and step on the final switch to clear the way to Burgh.

Burgh
Hyper Potion: 2

Whirlede lvl. 21 – Poison Tail, Struggle Bug, Pursuit, Screech
Dwebble lvl. 21 – Smack Down, Struggle Bug, Faint Attack, Sand-Attack
Leavanny lvl. 23 – Razor Leaf, Struggle Bug, String Shot, Protect

Burgh plays a very aggressive game with his Pokemon. Dwebble in particular he seems to want to keep up with its move Smack Down. For Dwebble, hit the weaknesses of the Rock part of him. Very few overlap with Bug, giving you a solid advantage. With Whirlede, use Fire or Physic-type attacks to devestate it. Lastly, with Leavanny, as it is Bug/Grass, a solid Fire-type attack (or two depending on your Pokemon's level) will demolish it soundly and quickly. He has a couple of Hyper Potions, allowing him to bring back his Pokemon from the cusp of defeat. Be sure that whatever you did you can do again, just in case.

Once victorious, you will be awarded in the Insect Bage and TM 76, Struggle Bug. Burgh will congratulate you. Now, head on out of the Gym. Time to move on!
