This piece of DLC starts with you heading home to Bowerstone Castle. Starting the quest, you will be reminded of the fact you are a Hero and your life will never particularly be normal. You will want to head to the treasury where Hobson will fill you in on things and insist on escorting you to the court room where the questing shall begin.

The thing is Hobson will proceed to bore the Regeant asleep with all his chattering, as he is very profiencent at, and then the interesting things start to happen. You are treated to a cutscene of a rouge sneaking very gracefully into the palace. He makes very fast work of all the guards in his way.

This person now makes himself known, throwing a note at the Hero, scaring Hobson. This breaks the tedium certainly, but not in a pleasant way. You now need to fight this Assassin inside your palace! He tells you that he's come from far away, seeking to free people that you've, apparently, sent to a place called The Keep. The battle is more about the interactions between him and you than actually winning. A decent combatant can dodge many of the strikes or just go head to head against this fellow. Remember to block, flourish and dodge throughout to keep your injuries down.

He will talk at length about things, mostly relating to his prison term, about his desire for revenge. He is obviously fairly skilled at melee combat. He will talk of a revolution, and a General Turner, and wish that they could see this battle. At the conclusion of this battle, you will receive the achievement, "Slow Day at the Office". Just after that, Hopkins will show up and announce the arrival of an enemy ship. This does not bode well for you. It's time to see what the fuss is about and to begin finding out about the events that have come to a head here.
